A couple of colds. Covid test negative. Our daycare has closed twice for Covid. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got it before being able to be vaccinated. Sucks but gotta work and statistically will be fine. Wish they would get more vaccine out faster.

Our last household illness was in January, before the pandemic. They are being extremely strict about mask wearing, distancing and hand washing.

Huge preschool. I’ve gotten about a dozen “a staff member tested positive” emails from them since they reopened in September. Never in my kid’s classroom, and the classes are kept separate as part of the protocols. One kid has tested positive in the entire school. All staff members are masked, earth checks performed before entry.

My kid has gotten far less sick this year than before- usually he has that constant kid runny nose in the winter, and gets a little sick 3 or 4 times. Nothing so far- I attribute it to the masks and the additional cleaning and the separation protocols keeping the typical daycare non-covid germs at bay

DP. Did you test?
Our center won't exclude for just a runny nose. But, if that runny nose is combined with one of the major covid symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, upset stomach), then of course, the child is excluded.

DH had fever and congestion, tested negative. I am thinking this was sinus infection due to allergies or something like that. It probably wasn’t contagious since none of us got it.

Not once -- knock on wood. there was a covid case in our daughter's class, but miraculously no one else got it. our daycare requires masks for the pre-K and K classes and the teachers/staff. it's enforced too.

4yo and infant, both enrolled since July. Infant had a cold in September (negative PCR test). 4yo hasn't had so much as a sniffle.
Our center requires masks on all adults entering the building, but not on the kids.

Once since she started back in August. Had a low fever briefly, runny nose. Other than that very healthy. Last year she had a constant runny nose from Thanksgiving till February and I was constantly sick, so this is a nice change. She is under two so no mask for her but the teachers wear masks. I think it has more to do with the families that use the daycare - liberal (so not anti-maskers), and wealthy, so more likely to wfh.

Twice since fall, both times just a runny nose/cold. The teachers wear masks, none of the students do, classes are capped at six kids. They just got much stricter after a baby caught covid from mom, so kids will be sent home/not allowed back even for a runny nose. It was scary but in the end it showed that the masks and precautions work. No one else caught covid from the baby, thank goodness, and both baby and mom are doing fine now. Of course, that's all up in the air with the new strain running around.

I've got little kids (3 and under). No masks at all- not the kids and not the provider.

Staff are always masked, kids over 2 are asked to wear masks but compliance is not 100% from what I’ve seen.

Indoors when they are doing activities other than meals. But I chalk it up more to the fact that it’s a tiny bubble, all parents are wfh and careful, etc.

No illnesses so far this year.

PP with not stellar covid precautions, no masks required indoors or outdoors. We are in NOVA.
