What about Chuy? (pronounced "chewy")

It might be a Mexican nn for John, but I'm not sure (I had a friend Chuy but his real name was John)

I love, love, love chuckles! It works well for a little kid and an older, wealthy man

Also good for a Murder Clown, if he's so inclined.

This made me chuckle (pun noted, but not intended) more than it should have.

Chad or Chuck maybe acceptable.

Chum is seafood.

True, but My thought is that OP wi have a younger Charles names after an older Charles, and it’s always helpful to have a distinct name for the kid.

^^ same PP

fmy homonymous family members go by Tim, Timothy, TJ, and Timmyy members - grandpa, dad, kid, and 1st cousin

It’s completely anecdotal but I am a teacher and all the Charlies I’ve had were really sweet boys (probably a big reason the name is now my favorite).

Charlie could be a good nickname for Charlotte!

In my opinion, not great options. Maybe Chip is cute.
