I would skip Alexandria if you hate Alex. Because ultimately it's your daughter who determines what she wants to be called and that can be as early as 3. So if you can't stand the idea of Alex go with something else.

I think it's a great name - not trendy but on-trend in that it's a classic name. I also think most of the nicknames for it are really cute. Thinking back on it, every Alex/Lexi I've known has been a sweet and fun girl.

I know a mom who named her kid Isabella and swore she would never go by a NN. One week at K and she became Izzy. And that’s what she goes by 20 years later.

It’s a good solid name with obviously many nickname options. It’s not my personal favorite, but I have a negative connotation with the name. I would use Sasha as a nickname. Xandra is odd to me.
