She is happy that we are having a child but is upset with timing. We have been married for a little over a year. She is a healthcare worker ( works from home) and worried about getting pregnant with the pandemic. We had decided to wait until next fall to start trying, but we got pregnant. She is happy overall but I can tell she is worried. It sucks because I feel like I can’t be that happy about it. How do I help ease her worry? How can I be happy but respectful of her feelings at the same time?
First of all you did not get pregnant. Im assuming you are a male? You can be happy and supportive. If she is still worried after you reassiring her maybe she can talk to someone about her feelings?
Congrats
It's an unplanned pregnancy. I didn't know lesbian sex can cause someone to get pregnant.
Are u the op? You literally said WE are pregnant. My question was rhetorical. And soon two women will be able to have a baby
Two women will never be able to have a baby without the help of a man.

OP here. She is 16 weeks pregnant and no. We would never consider any other option besides keeping our child. He was unexpected but a wonderful gift.
Troll. You don’t find out the gender until 20 weeks.
OP here. You can figure out the gender earlier. We found out at 8 weeks.
Insurance doesn't cover that blood test unless you are over 35

You know what he means. Plus, he said they’re expecting. That’s normal to say “ we’re expecting..” They are both expecting, not just her.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Why didn’t you guys use birth control?
OP here. We did use birth control but she still got pregnant.
Many people get pregnant on birth control. It’s no 100% effective.

Maybe you could plan an evening focused on you two - cook something that appeals to her at this stage in pregnancy and get tickets to some virtual concert or event. Help her feel cared for in a way that’s not pregnancy-centric. Just give her some time to process, you know?
OP here. We are broth very excited but she is super worried being pregnant in a pandemic. She is worried about Hong to appointments, working with co-workers ( she goes into work a couple times a month), and giving birth during a pandemic, etc. I know she is happy but the worry is keeping her from being super excited about it.
