How long have you been married to my husband?

He has no sense of control over his own behavior and life. He acts like things just happen to him, and when something's wrong, it never occurs to him to come up with a plan to fix it and follow through. Like, he's gained probably 15 lbs over the last few years. I don't even care really. But hearing him complain about being fat and then not do anything to solve it is such a turn off. Accept it or fix it, don't whine about it. But it's like that with everything.

Our cat does that for attention. Stomps down the stairs like a 200lb man.

He waits until he has undivided attention and gets really into a story. Then he will stop midway through, changing the subject for a several minutes until someone prompts him back to finish the story. I think he did it originally in order to get attention as a child (middle child of 9 kids), then it became a habit. Now he thinks it's funny, but it's super irritating.

Other than that he's really great, and I'm sure my habits are worse.

Here too, he won’t manage his symptoms so we all suffer all the time. Weekends are the worst.

Severe health anxiety. Is convinced that they have a worst case scenario rare disease based on some completely benign symptom. Discusses nothing but the possible disease until they've been seen by a specialist. They're getting help for this, but it's tiring.
