I wonder if it has a big effect on blood pressure. My problem was low blood pressure. Always felt dizzy when I stood up. They wouldn’t up my epidural dose either because it was making my blood pressure drop too much. So I got massive amounts of saline pumped in. I could barely open my eyes the next day because I was like one big puffy marshmallow. You could push on my legs and you could see the indent. I’m going to discuss with my OB. I can’t imagine it having too much effect but maybe?

Anyways, I was prescribed this for infertility.

You're not the only one. I never took it and even developed Pre-E, had a couple risk factors and not once was it ever mentioned for later pregnancies. 😳



Who was your doctor? If you had preeclampsia you absolutely should be on it for future pregnancies. Both my MFM and OB advised me on this and I was on it my whole pregnancy starting at around 12 weeks.


I am with CWC and honestly they're not that great. I also see a MFM, but it has never been mentioned. I'm due in a few weeks and now my BP has started to rise and at they're concerned about pre-E, but still haven't mentioned low dose aspirin. Did you take it until you delivered?

I did it, but I had a history of preeclampsia.

Take the aspirin. This IS evidence based medicine. I got pre-e at 41 and my heart and BP are still messed up at 49. I wish I had known them that a simple intervention might help
Prevent it. Stop playing around. You’re not an expert.

Same except I'm 37 and due in 6 weeks. Definitely don't want the pre-e! Going to discuss at my appointment with MFM this week.

It’s relatively new I think.

It was a fluke occurrence but my sister lost a late-term pregnancy due to a blood clot in the umbilical cord. I suspect aspirin could help reduce blood clot risks as well.

[/My doctor recommended baby aspirin every day during stimulation for egg retrieval and every day for the frozen embryo transfer. So, essentially months of baby aspirin before implantation.

Not sure how relevant this is for you, but I had an FET and they had me start on cycle day 1.

I wanted to add that my hesitancy was that my dad developed an ulcer from daily baby aspirin.


If you are concerned about ulcers, you could take enteric coated aspirin instead of chewable
