Ha ha ha. I worked with someone who had 6 boys before having a girl. He always joked that he doesn't recommend keeping trying until you get a girl. He had two more kids after that though (boy then girl, so 9 children total

Not in the US, but through work I came across someone who had 13 boys and the wife was pregnant with #14 and they were very clear they were chasing a girl.
I thought it was absolutely b*tshit. Especially because there are options nowadays. Basically no country that allows family balancing IVF would have turned them away past, oh I don't know, 3-5 boys? Maybe fewer.
