As for the Proud Boys, there is only so much she can do. They have a right to protest. When people move from protest to violence (or other illegal activity), steps can be taken against them. But they have a right to demonstrate/protest as much as anyone else.
MPD surrounded and arrested (or tried to arrest) a bunch of people protesting in support of Black lives a couple of months ago. Their violation? Violating curfew. I'd argue, they were out for a good cause. Met with pepper spray, rubber bullets, arrests.
Her support for BLM has been superficial. Painting a slogan.
But then when fascists looking to start fights come to DC starting trouble, she does nothing. They could have been arrested for carrying weapons, refusal to wear masks, or starting fights. There should have been mass arrests as soon as they took one step out of line. Instead, MPD is accommodating them.
evidence for this?
Look at how many BLM protestors were pepper sprayed, tear gassed, kettles and arrested. There are plenty of articles and videos of that.
Did you see the same happen to the proud boys? There are videos of them hitting people and MPD not doing anything about it. They defaced church property, and MPD did nothing about it. Have you looked at what happened this past weekend?

If you have equal regards for people who are protesting for Black people to be treated fairly and "Western Chauvinists" (let's be real, racists) looking to pick a fight, then you are part of the problem.
It’s not “regard” - it’s the First Amendment. The two groups can’t be treated differently by the city based only on their viewpoints.
Again, for the person late to class:. The first amendment does not protect illegal activities. The proud boys were here to start fights and violated several other laws along the way. It is entirely within MPDs authority to react and they chose not to.

Anonymous wrote:The police appeared to do a very good job of keeping the two groups separated. When they came together, appeared to be when violence happened. And it appeared like there were elements of antifa who opportunistically came into town as well looking for a fight with the proud boys. Isn't that what they do with each other? I think it important not to confuse peaceful maga and BLM protestors with these elements. I'm all for curfews, but they weren't exactly respected by protestors this summer .

Please let's not forget the looting and destruction of private and public businesses across this country over the summer.

If you really think (un)popular opinion is the deciding factor for shutting down political speech, you've never read the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Making you "part of the problem" of the uneducated American people.
Respecting the bedrock principles of America — such as, say, free speech and the right to peaceably assemble — doesn't make me a racist. Don't even try that $h!t.
There is zero about you little boys related to peaceful assembly. Your intent was violence and that's what you were caught doing. I'm addition to that, your "Western Chauvinism" is still just racism. You're not doing a good job of hiding it.
DP. I seriously doubt the 'Proud Boys' or whatever they're called have much of a presence on DCUM. In any case, them being racist, while wrong, is not a crime.
