41, succesful, instant family...you'll have the pick of the litter of 32-40yo single women. Might be tough to do the usual 24-30 crowd though.

I have 50% custody of three children and dating to have a real relationship is not in the cards. But there are plenty of divorced women out there who are in the same boat but who are interested in adult companionship and that includes sex. I was very honest in my profile and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of women who said that’s what I’m looking for too. I have no desire to create a Brady Bunch scenario and many women don’t either.

OP - how good looking and fun are you and how good is your "good" job? If you are considering divorcing just to have more people to f#ck and you are not picky, you will have options on dating apps.
My male friends in their 40s who divorced and have kids have had mixed experiences- one worked on the Hill and is hot and has 20 year olds happy to be FWB and go on fabulous getaways but another GS 12 IT nerd guy can't get a date.

If the other spouse doesn't work and hasn't for years, that spouse will receive some sort of support, albeit not indefinitely.

Exactly this. I divorced because I would rather be single forever than stay married to my ex husband. It was not a good marriage. It was never about meeting someone else.

Yep. I’m a total girls girl and love my nieces and have lots of female friends but if dating a divorced dad I limit to men with sons.

You better believe she will ask for it. And you will pay your lawyer $$$$ to get it denied. Either way, divorce is expensive and unless you have a lot saved away, you will take a huge financial hit.

Pretty much. If you are decent looking with a good job and are interesting to he around, you will have zero problems dating. The apps are good for playing the numbers game. If you want to have sex with a different woman every week you can do that or you can find someone to settle with. Apps are a lot of work to sift through.
