What on earth is fun about a mass of mediocrity in Harrisonburg, VA?

I bet you have a really unfortunate face and body.

DP. The prior poster more than deserved that response.

So sorry you or your kid(s) didn’t get in.

JMU is located in the Shenandoah Valley and has tons of beautiful mountain hikes nearby. Also, orchards and wineries. It’s a truly beautiful area, not to mention a campus filled with friendly, smart, well-balanced students.

Yes, Wisconsin. This 50 something went there and I have a kid there now. Some polls consider Madison #1 party school in US.

I was coming on here to say Indiana U - Bloomington as well. I went there for grad school. Town/University is big enough to draw national acts for concerts. The town has various music clubs, great restaurants, etc., everything you need really, and yet it's all walkable and cute. The sports are super fun to watch, and there are good intramural teams as well, if you want to play. Plus, the weather is very balanced-- you get all four seasons-- it's not too cold or hot. Loved it.

Otherwise, University of Miami. The fun never stops. Not cheap, however. And the alum network is stronger and more diverse than you'd imagine.
