Hybrid for my 5th grader and virtual for the 7th grader.

Our MS principal answered questions about the hybrid option at a PTA meeting today. Said 300 (out of 900) students had returned survey so far, with 180 opting for in-person and the rest virtual. Lots and lots of unanswered questions about details and specifics of what hybrid would look like, but they are working on planning. It just didn't seem like enough upside for my middle schooler to change from virtual, which is working well. Chose differently for my 5th grader and hoping for at least some time to finish out elementary school in person.

Virtual for my 4th grader. Consistency is important for her and the shifting routines would be detrimental.

We chose hybrid to keep options open but the bar will be high for us to be comfortable sending them. 6th with transport needed and 3rd without transport needs.

Hybrid and no transportation.

I would send my kids back in a heartbeat. But I don’t think it’s going to happen anyway. Distance Learning in MCPS looks like it will be here to stay.

Hybrid for my 2nd and 4th graders; no transportation

Virtual for my 5th and 10th grader. They don’t want to go back during the pandemic and are doing just fine at home.

Virtual, kindergarten. No way am I exposing my kiddo for 2/3 days a week of behavior management. She’s been doing well.

Hybrid for K and 2. We don’t have any contact with high risk people. And my 2nd grader is really struggling because it is so boring to be in a zoom meeting with a brand new teacher telling you things you already know. In-person is less boring, easier to differentiate, and he might get an experienced teacher.

I trust our principal to do an amazing job organizing it, and would gladly go back at 10 cases per 100,000 rather than 5.

Virtual for my 3rd and 5th graders.

Didn't respond as there was not enough information given to explain how, exactly, tye different options would work. So DL by default.

Answered 1st day of survey - virtual, 10th grader, in special program. Whatever the chaos of a hybrid program looks like, in high school it's going to end up with worse instruction than virtual, for the mainstream population of students.

Hybrid, no transportation for 6th grader.
Hybrid, with transportation for 4th grade CES.
I don't have any belief or confidence that anyone will be returning to school buildings this year.

LOL. That's not going to happen.

DP. Probably not, but it makes me feel safer knowing that my kid who chose in person will be pretty safe if they do go back. Choosing in person doesn’t mean we think it’s the most likely option, but if it becomes available, my kid would prefer it.

Hybrid for our 4th and 6th graders. They're both desperate to be in school. Our 9th grader is in private and they're jealous that he's already gotten back to school.
