Pilates is a miracle worker and all you need is a mat. Suggest YouTubing GoneAdventuring Pilates, Denise Austin (nice beginner mat routine), and the Live Fit Girl.

There's an app called Shred which has an excellent at home, body weight routine. I used to use them for strength training routines in the gym (pre pandemic) and they were great at that too. Try a few and see whichever one you like, as people seem to have personal affinities for one or another.

Thank you for your recommendations, you inspired me to bring workouts back into my life. Actually, I gained extra weight during the quarantine and really want to get rid of it, that's why I need to resume workouts. Too bad the gyms in my area are closed due to the pandemic, so home workouts is a great way out of this situation. By the way, I recently came across a guide to adjustable ankle weights, and I decided to use them for my workouts. I've read that they help increase endurance and burn more calories, but it's important for me to know when I can use them, so as not to overload my legs.

Anonymous wrote:I have had years of back problems and PT. I find most core workouts focus too much on the tummy, and not enough on the lower back aspect, even Peloton. This is my routine from my PT days...I do it 4-5 days a week, even when I do a Peloton core workout. It gets a little boring but it's only about 10 minutes. If you haven't been doing core work, start with lower reps/time and work up.

15x EITHER hip bridges, Supermans (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6PJMT2y8GQ) or bird-dog (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiFNA3sqjCA)
1 minute plank
30 second side plank on each side.
Repeat 3 times.

+1. This is what you need to do. People who recommend all this peloton crap for core.... You don't need apps and crap. Do this!

Try the Every Mother app. Focus is on core and also healing/avoiding diastasis recti. Even if you don't have DR, the workouts are good and you need very little,if any, equipment for most of them.
