DS (6) takes adderall XR, you open up the capsule and pour it over applesauce. It's annoying and sometimes spills a bit but we are used to it now. He took Ritalin last year and it was the same - open up the capsule.

to learn to swallow a pill, carbonated beverages help a lot. any seltzer or soda makes swallowing easier.

The ritalin pills are tiny. My kid who is averse to all kinds of things had no trouble swallowing them.
