It’s really not “wrong” unless there are other factors at play: if the family member has died and using the name would be a tribute. Or if the family member is loathed from all sides. Or the if the family member is very close to you, and close in age.
You do you. My kids are teens but if any of my siblings named their kid the same name as mine, I’d be horrified. I guess it depends on the family. My sister was throwing my name around with some sort of weird spelling and that also seemed wrong.

Name her Maggie! If she wants something more formal she can go by Jane or change her name.
