So, a week.

Nov 19- Dec 1

These are all rumors. They did not shut down. Most of their teams at every age and every bracket were in tournaments, more than one tournament this past weekend. Practices were ALWAYS going to stop on 11/19 and restart first week of January. We got that email 6 weeks ago that they would end on this day.

Futsal games and clinics are still on.

Lets end this right here. Not rumors

Every ecnl age group was playing Pipeline on Saturday and Maryland United on Sunday. All cancelled.
Scheduled practices cancelled.

Futsal isnt starting until after Dec 5th anyways.

The club is doing the right thing- pausing through the thanksgiving week and re-assessing.
No authority shut them down.
Everything is set to restart on December 5th. Currently.

Anytime ONE person has a POTENTIAL of covid infected in any other club you all are up in arms about the club not doing the right thing, not caring about their staff and players, etc.

Give a F-in rest people.

"Dear Bethesda SC Families,

We hope that this message finds you well. We wanted to provide you with a quick update in regards to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday as well as a status update for the 2020 Bethesda Premier Cup Boys Weekend.

• Practices, Games, Camps, and Clinics- There will be no practices, games, camps, and clinics from Monday, November 23rd to Friday, December 4th.We plan to resume all club activities on Saturday, December 5th. We should note that this break is a preventative measure and to give our players a chance to recuperate from a long fall season (Many of our teams have been practicing since August 1st and before). "

Hello Everyone,

Due to tighter Covid restrictions, the club will halt all activities until after the holiday. I know this causes a lot of stress for the girls, and I am very sorry about that.

There will not be any ECNL games this weekend, and the club has also decided to withdraw us from the CASL tournament in December. For all the families planning on attending the CASL event, please go ahead and cancel your hotel rooms now.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and I will provide an update next week. To all the players, relax and do some work on your own over the next ten days.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope to see everyone back on the field soon!

Best,
Kevin

1) He did not say it was a club decision.
2) He recommended training on your own.
3) Calling it CASL is old school!
4) I hope BSC is able to resume on Dec 5 in MoCo but I am not optimistic. Maybe they should investigate other options?

it was a club decision guy. not every club in Moco it taking a break.

Want to give some credit to BSC from Hunt Country this weekend. The parents and fields I was at (Hellwig) had parents sitting in or next to their cars, distanced, and cheering, and clearly taking things seriously. The game my son played against them, every one of their kids was wearing a mask, which I didn't see for any other team (occassionally would have 1 or 2 players on other teams, but not a whole team). Good for those parents for following what seems to be club rules/directives from their club/county even when farther away from home.

I believe this is only partially true. The ulittles were set to take a long break until January for a while now, like you said, but as I understand it now the entire club is taking a (relatively) short pause from now through the holiday. And to answer the many other posters, yes, numerous teams played in tournaments. The break starts after this past weekend"s activities.

I am unaware of any authority shutting it down. Seems to be more reactive to everything going on around and well-timed over a holiday week.

To clarify, only the ulittles were set for this break, as I understand it. So it is a change for the older. But fairly short.

Ahh got it. Yes we have a ulittle and the 6 week break was planned.

what "rules?" It was club decision, and certain teams still had tournaments.

This past weekend was the last practices. The only teams that were allowed to practice were those with upcoming tournaments. These practices were also staggered were only one team was practicing at a time. These practices carried less risk than any other team that participated in a tournament over the weekend. You are just another example of a rival parent posting in negative manor.

At this point, no further practices are scheduled. There was a chance of practice resuming after Dec. 1st but that is now looking highly unlikely as MoCo will be returning to full blown Phase 1. Futsal is supposed to take place outdoors however with Phase 1 in place, that will probably not happen either.

correct, not a day to day operation event and this tournament was on the books for those teams already
