OP here. I want to give this some hope, don't you think six weeks is kind of early to bring up a relationship talk? It's a bit long distance, so we talk a bunch but don't see each other all the time. Which, leads to the insecurity I have with him.

I agree. The issue isn't that he is dating other people, as you have to assume people are if you haven't had the exclusivity talk yet, but that he did it while on a date with you! So rude. Most men turn off their notifications and put the phone in their pocket or upside down on the table. Then they text while you're in the bathroom.
