Yes, this. I can’t believe how idiotic and selfish people are. Her kids have missed out on enough? Like her kids are uniquely afflicted? No, your kids don’t see Santa because it’s not safe because of coronavirus. My freaking 4 year old knows this. She’s be happy to lecture anyone about it. Getting the pandemic under control requires sacrifice. Teach your children about sacrifice, and how to care for others. Tell them, we sacrifice for a year so we can have the rest of our lives to live, and others can too. We sacrifice because it’s the right thing to do. And stop being a selfish jerk.

Anonymous wrote:Anyone taking their children to see Santa? I saw an ad for Bass Pro Shop where Santa is behind a plexi glass wall and the children sit in front of it on a small bench.
Also the Springfield Mall is offering Zoom Chats with Santa as well.
I'm planning to buy some new Christmas Decor and set up a mini photo session (I'll be the photographer) with my kids and send those pictures out with our Christmas Cards.

So, our household is dealing with a spouse who has been laid off. We could ill afford the job loss. No, I do not wish lost revenue on anyone. I would like you people like you to exercise some self control so that we can get things under control and people can get back to work and have a reliable income. We are hand to mouth at this point and not sure what kind of Christmas our children will have.

Why you want to drag your kids to some strip mall to sit on a stranger’s lap and ask for things has always escaped me though. So there’s that.
No one is sitting on Santa’s lap this year. Santas will all be socially distanced and/or behind plexiglass. Photos will be done with children set apart, not on his lap. I’ve gotten the details of plans from several malls and other Santa spots via email.
So you want Santa to lose all of his income for the year? And be broke at Christmas? That's the spirit.

What is it about the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic that people do not understand?
