Doing a deep clean of the whole house, then nap, then get dim sum or chinese or something.

Have them call grandpa and listen to the story about how jazzed grandpa was to get an orange for Christmas. Sometimes you just can't fix things you just get through. Learning how to do just that is a gift in itself.

We might get tickets for a museum that's open - but we'll see. We like cooking so in addition to the turkey thing, we'd likely do some other more involved cooking on other days, like pasta or pizza.

We hike and bike ride regularly. With more time off, we'd probably put the bikes on the rack and do some rides that are out of the norm. And maybe do some hikes that are a little of a further drive than our norm. I love winter hiking - trails are less crowded and it's easier to layer up than to strip down in summer heat.

I might come up with new craft idea or bring out some of the old ideas. Google salt dough ornaments - it's inexpensive to do and the kids love sculpting not just ornaments. We might visit an art museum (lots are virtual) and make art of that style. Hirshorn and other museums have ideas for art at home.

Cooking, getting a tree and decorating for Christmas, going for a day hike.

I am toying with the idea of getting up really early, recording the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (gotta watch it every year), and driving about an hour to the shore for something different. Yes, I know it will likely be cold. That's why we have outerwear. We will cook, play board and video games, and take a much-needed break from school. A massive Lego build sounds good too.

Family Turkey Trot. Decorating for the holidays. Watching holiday movies. Playing games. Sleeping late. Staying up late.

Reports are showing it’s not safe. You can creatively justify it but stop complaining about schools being closed as you are why we will not open this school year. Everyone is high risk.

We also plan to stay home and do nothing. We have been doing nothing, not seeing anyone, working from home & staying at home since March. We are bored to death, but we don’t want to get sick or die.
