Reading the OP's post again, the concern was about whether grey furniture clashes with wood floors and about trendiness.

To the first question, I think wood floors are sort of neutral and can support all kinds of furniture. You could always add a rug if you fall in love with a lighter table that you aren't sure about against your floors.

I said of the the 2, and it was the question b/c I was trying to gauge what her style was. But then gave up because clearly she's trolling. Things like not my style, you'll regret it, don't do it, etc are helpful but someone is in here just messing around. Makes the board a lot less useful for people looking for ideas. People have different taste and styles and that's ok but own it instead of denigrating other people and making personal attacks.


You call out others for things you do. Maybe take your own advice. Op asked if she would regret buying more grey wash because too trendy. Not trolling for people to say yes.


I insulted nobody in here. I'm not the only poster on this thread. I'm taking issue with the jerk. Notice how none of the responses saying too trendy, don't do it, etc weren't called out? It's pretty clear there's just one person being nasty in here who thinks insulting people is a good way to get a point across. I'll just report the troll from now on and not comment. Seems like there has been some clean-up already so I'm not alone in that.

I judge a house more on if its dirty and cluttered than in style or of a particular style. A clean house that's comfortable will be liked by everyone. I hate antiques and don't have any in my house but I like them in other people's houses, if that's what they like. Variety is the spice of life. We shouldn't all want our houses to be the same.

Op, one or two pieces of gray wash furniture is fine if mixed in with other styles. A whole house full of it looks ridiculous.

What I like most about grey wash is it always looks clean and you can’t see any dust because it is the color of dust! Will keep mine forever for this reason! Also why I think it might fade as a trend but never completely leave.
