The culture of the school skews toward a White, Republican crowd, and my son who is neither White nor Republican just felt on the periphery. He had friends and was actively involved in multiple sports, but he just wasn't the quintessential Landon boy.
The quality of the education is good, however. The school educates boys -- it's not just a holding tank for jocks.
The all boys schools in this area all skew that way. They have all become mostly white and republican that includes Prep and STA which both have become more conservative and clubby in recent years. On the other hand the all girls schools are becoming more diverse and more progressive.
My son felt this way too, when touring DMV privates for HS.
yes. if anything STA and Prep are worse. We have a daughter at NCS and the only Trump supporting people we know in the DMV are at STA.
STA has become drastically conservative and clubby and yes many Trump and GOP families there.
There are more conservative boys in the '24 class but by no means is STA a conservative stronghold. If you had a son there you wold know this. I assume you're the same Mom talking down boys schools while trumpeting all girls schools. Give it a rest.

Well, every school has sent kids to Harvard.
Subpar is one word, no hyphen.
It will take many years for Landon and the newish HOS to overcome the school's terrible reputation, which includes a lot of bad boys, tacky families, a massive cheating scandal, and an alumnus who murdered his girlfriend at college. When the new HOS started, he accepted every mediocre kid from his previous school.
Thanks for the tip. Thank you as well for reminding me why I really hate DCUM. The women on this board treat each other like complete total crap.

It's not just women, so don't assume.
