This. It’s not ideal for many reasons, esp if you want to have kids.

Why? Its not been an issue at all for us, especially with kids.

I’m 35 and DH will be 50 next month. We’ve been married 10 years and have 2 kids. It’s been a hard year but we are overall happy.

Is this a DC thing? I'm from Minneapolis and the biggest gap I know of for a married couple who isn't a wealthy man/trophy wife is seven years.

I'm a bit jealous. lol

-50 yr old wife married to 58 yr old man.

Don't get me wrong.. I do love DH, but as a PP stated, as we age, the physical differences become more noticeable. It seems like there is a steeper decline after a certain age.

Not me but my dad was 13 years older than my mom. They were a great match and I think would have been in it for the long haul. He gave her security and stability that she’d never known and he got a new life with someone young and super fun. They balanced each other. I think one key was that he’d never been married before but did already have children that were fully grown and independent. Tragically, my mom is the one who died young.

I’m not attracted to people that much older or younger than me, so no.
