I’m fine all day because I’m so busy and have a schedule.

I workout every morning and eat the exact same healthy meals for breakfast and lunch every day. Dinner is a healthy meal with the kids.

It’s the hour from when the kids go to bed and my own bedtime where I really struggle. I’m not even hungry, just want to inhale something and feel worse every time I do.

The solution for me has been to delay my final cleanup/prep for the next day until after the kids are in bed. It takes about a half hour and is just enough to occupy my mind in a different way.

Crafts (that done involve food). Do you remember any fun activities/crafts from your childhood? Do those with your own child and think of them as family traditions.

I second dance party! You pick a song then let DC pick the next song and so on. That way you'll really enjoy at least half of the music and music can be such a mood booster.

Make games out of household tasks. Put on fast paced music and tell your DC that it's a game to see how fast the two of you can clean the toys up. You set the tone--if you're laughing and having fun they will follow suit.

Hang in there, OP. These are unusual times but you can do this!

Play with a friend’s dog. Maybe one who has young children so knows how to handle a curious 3 year old.

Hot bath with nice smelling bath gel
Movie marathon with funny faves
Guided meditation (YouTube has many) - can do while your child plays in a fenced in playground
Long walk in nature (with stroller if necessary)
Painting (I love paint by numbers)

+1, author Susan Albers is very good, has a couple books, is a real expert in the emotional eating field, positive/supportive outlook rather than shaming.

I love watching the blackhead extractions videos. Seriously following this post because exercise, fresh air, hot showers and baths are awesome but I still eat for comfort!
