Milking the local parents with big dollars, shelling out 6 figure salaries for 5 bozos and somewhere between 10-30 k for the rest of travel folks, thousands of registrations a year and they are still unable to produce winning teams.
Fcv will be ECNL sooner or later. And the cherry on top will be seeing them take Loudoun’s spot.
Give it less than 3 years.
You must be a parent of a very young player. They usually shout the loudest while being wrong. FCV will not get ECNL. No one in NOVA is getting ECNL. Its done. As far as Loudoun, I agree with you. They care more about making a living off youth soccer than producing national level teams. Thats why they never cared if FCV took their best kids. It never hurt their bottom line. Thats the blessing and curse of Loudoun. They take their customers for granted because they're all lined up with their check books.
What makes you so sure about no nova teams being placed in ECNL? Curious to hear your thoughts. What I’ve been told is exactly opposite so I’m highly intrigued.

Clearly someone has a vested interest in McLean to keep brining up a partnership from 5 years ago. We all know McLean can’t compete without the Arlington pipeline, but accept the fact that Arlington doesn’t need McLean - they’ll be fine on their own. OTH, McLean’s younger teams have not been competitive for several years. Maybe they should spend time developing players instead of trying to recruit Arlington kids.
BTW, Arlington, much like Loudoun, are the beneficiary of large rec programs that feed travel programs. Arlington is not known for development. Relax
Arlington/Mclean full-club scrimmage day, anyone? That’s the only club that my Arlington DD hasn’t played against - everyone else agrees to scrimmages, but Mclean hasn’t yet. I wonder why.
