blowers aren't quiet, both electric and battery are noisy... not quite as noisy as gas, but not far off.

Battery powered are loud, but so less loud than the gas ones.

You will suck up a rock that will break one of the fan blades inside and it will not function. Been there done that twice. Echo gas for 10 years not 1 issues.

Would love to switch from our gas blower to electric but wanted to ask about acorns. We have so many oaks it's like walking on marbles. For those of you with electric blowers do they move the acorns as well? For those of us with health issues the acorns pose a fall risk and we can't stay indoors for 4 months.

Yes, a Toro for 70 bucks plus extension cord. Can't beat that.

We use a leaf sucker and shredder to make leaf mulch.

The Ego hand held blower is over 50% more powerful than that Echo (650 CFM for the Ego vs 390 CFM for the Echo), is lighter, quieter, has no vibration, and doesn’t need to be maintained like a gas engine.

It is about $100 more expensive, but depending on how much you use it, you can quickly make that back up in gas savings.

The main downside is runtime. If blowing for long periods, you’ll either need a second battery, or will need to take breaks for it to charge.

We have an Ego blower and I love it! I did not have the strength to start our old gas one. The Ego is so easy, light and quiet, and has plenty of power....and we have the lower horsepower model. We have several Ego tools/batteries.

Just use a rake and broom. They put so much dust in the air and are so loud. Cities are banning them - especially the gas powered one.
