Imagine both these rooms with the same wall color and soft white trim. I think they both would look better

I would do it if it was a neutral color, but not if it was a bright color because it's overwhelming and makes a small room feel smaller. I don't like the blue, I like the gray.

I did the nursery this way in a very pale blue - walls, trim, ceiling. I love it. But it has a door.
