Mine too but add in a debilitating anxiety to the mix. It's rough.

Wow, a lot of parents of adult children on this thread for whom I think this is a little triggering. Being older is not an excuse for tormenting your loved ones.
OP, glad you are setting boundaries with her and I hear you. My own mother has been an absolute nightmare this past year. She dumps all of her stress and anxiety on me without ever considering how that impacts me. I just try to keep things light and keep the focus on the topics she's least likely to be negative about.
I've also found that when I have a particularly draining call with her, if I can give myself a little longer before the next call, it helps me recover and helps her understand that she has pushed me a little harder than I can handle.
