I socialize a lot less right now because I get almost no alone time and I am responding to other people's needs so much that I just don't have the capacity to, say, listen to my friend complain about her MIL. Even if I love my friend and care about her problem! I just don't have it in me.
I am looking to carve out some time to talk to a therapist once a week. That's probably the only kind of socializing I can do at this point.

Unless smiling and waving at a neighbor as we pass each other walking our dogs counts as a social life?
Really? Do you work long hours or have something demanding a lot of time?
Full time job, active volunteer in PTA and several kids activities, some minor DIY home renovations underway, and I guess I'm just not a very social person - I'd rather spend my little free time with a good book or enjoying a glass of wine with DH on the patio.

I see my neighbor once a week for dinner/drinks.
I see somebody else once or 2x a month... we have gone to a vineyard, thrown axes, brunch, dinner, etc
I traveled to visit my college roommate in September.
I went to the beach in June and I hung out with friends for 3 days.
I did not see anybody during March and April and part of May (except my 1 neighbor we were covid partners).
Ugh. You are why the US is a mess.
Nobody in my friends group has tested positive. We are very careful, we work from home. I quarantined for 14 days before visiting my roommate from college.
You hermits are what is wrong with the US. You are why kids are depressed. Get some friends together, go for a hike, nobody is getting covid this way.
My kids aren't depressed and neither are we. If anything the extra family time is great. This is exactly how voiced is shared and you are why we cannot go back to school.
