Taking this on a tangent, but when I add melted butter to my popcorn, it just makes the popcorn soggy. I have tried adding less butter and all that happens is that more kernels have no butter on them, and the ones that do are still soggy. What am I doing wrong?
I pop in stove in coconut or avocado oil, one even in bacon fat.
With bacon fat I didn't add butter, but with the pills, I poured the popcorn out of the pan into a bowl. Add butter to pan, which is still hot enough to melt butter. Maybe a tablespoon for two people. Then I drizzle it on top the popcorn and then pour all the popcorn back into the pan, add a dash of salt, put the lid on and give it a few shakes before pouring back into the bowl.
