I always tried to pick up used Patagonia’s. Or buy size up and get 2 year then handed down to the next daughter.

My kids wear them most of the winter in New England.

Lands end parkas are perfect great for car seats, not too heavy, grow with me sleeves and they frequently have a 40-50% off making them pretty cheap.

I like Patagonia is because it all layers. I’ve found the perfect combo is fleece vest, down sweater coat, and water resistant windbreaker. Worst comes to worst you can combine all three vest, puffer, and rain shell outer. One or more of these covers all scenarios!
