When we left at 11AM, front parking area appeared to be full, main lot near visitor center was 2/3 full, and the line of cars at the gate was probably 30 or so cars deep. Lots of people were starting to come in on foot. I've seen it FAR worse, of course, but the trail near the river was getting pretty crowded.

Cemeteries were actually used as parks and places for enjoyment in the past. It is just our fear of death and inability to consider our own mortality that has made them "creepy". They are nice. Go enjoy!


Agree. We picnicked a bunch at my grandparents plot this year. We don’t have a yard and the cemetery is within walking distance. It was nice to be somewhere kind of quiet and where dogs aren’t allowed on the grass. You don’t even have to consciously distance because they’re not that many people there (above ground).


Years ago before Christmas we use to go to a tree farm and cut down a tree and then have a picnic lunch at a small cemetery. It was beautiful and peaceful. I’m sure the “residents” enjoyed the sound of happy children.

I agree. They are beautiful, serene and great for walking around.

No, I've explained the importance of learning our native language for years, so they're resigned. As for the music lesson, it's what got them the Concertmaster position in their MCYO orchestra, so they're motivated!

I am not the PP but I am homeschooling this year (8yo) we do both those as part of our school day. So glad I don’t have to stay inside on a beautiful weekend day.

Soccer this morning followed by 30 mins on the playground. Lunch at home then hike as a family at a park near our house. Now DD has a friend over ( they are both onlys) and they are building stuff out of boxes... I believe I heard the word space ship a few mins ago. Having a movie night tonight.

This was my childhood minus online class. It was Saturday class.

We had a leisurely morning at home, then walked to the farmer's market, followed by bike/scooter riding and a couple hours at the playground with a picnic lunch. Rest of the day will be at home/playing in the backyard with dinner outside.
