Work, we worked for a large corporation and although we never worked together we would always run into each other in the elevator, in the cafeteria and one time he was like “I feel like we see each other everywhere!” and struck up a conversation and the rest is history haha.

At a party held by a mutual friend. This was in 2005 in Boston. We got married in 2010 and have two kids.

Through a mutual friend in HS, at a party. We were friends first.. We married young, and had kids young, and DH went off to bootcamp very shortly after we started dating.

Taking lessons for a mutual hobby. We were in a class together and really hit it off. The class met once a week for a couple of months - we developed a friendship during that time, and when it was over he invited me out for a drink. That was 20 years ago.

OP, if you're not a churchgoer, no worries. The key, I think, is finding people with values and interests you both share. I think that's easier to do by engaging in what really interests and engages you, and meeting people through that. (It could be work, church, volunteering, a sport, etc.) You can put that stuff down on an online dating site and so can anyone else, but meeting people who are out there actually engaging in things ensures they're the real deal.

Work happy hour at a bar in DC, but not the same happy hour. We were both there with our companies—different groups. Spied one another across the bar and it led to a long, fun night...inseparable after. 1996

Was selling real estate at the time. She and her husband were in the process of getting a divorce and I was their agent. Was really attracted to her and felt there was a spark, but didn't do anything about it because they were clients and the divorce wasn't final yet.

About 6 months later, I found her business card in a bag I was cleaning out and decided to call her up to see if she wanted to get a cup of coffee. Turns out the feelings were mutual. We ended up in her bedroom that same day. Got married a year later. That was 8 years ago and we couldn't be happier.

College

We met at a bar in DC in 2011. Married 8 years with 2 kids.

We lived in the same apartment building.

We were coworkers then good friend coworkers then dating coworkers haha. So happy to have met him!
