Nope. Not fine. 6-3 SCT will rule affirmative action or use of race in admissions decisions to be unconstitutional.
You make no sense. There is no test and there is a lottery. Where is the affirmative action? Where are they using race for admissions?
"Disparate Impact".

These kind of race politics is played by Republicans. There are also some racist URMs who are not looking out for the interests of their groups. They are misleading people of their own race.
As usual, Asian parents will find a way to make their children succeed academically. It does not matter if FCPS dumbs down the curriculum or gives seats to low performing Whites (and 1-2 token Hispanic and Black students) - eventually, no one can win against the sheer amount of hard work and grit of Asian-American students. Bring it on. You are only hurting middle class students (mainly White).

And the purpose isn’t to serve all kind of students. It’s to serve nerds.
Really driven nerds.
Nerds come in all colors, shapes, sizes, races, etc...
Where are they? FCPS needs to actually do their job and find them.

Doing what they’re doing plays right into the Devos and the Republicans trap- by chasing “equity” we are lowering the potential of education.
First, why would anyone care about what Trump or Devos thinks? Second, are you really making the argument with a straight face that the new system wouldn't serve all different kinds of students as compared with the current system? And no, the purpose of TJ was not to prove that FCPS has the best educational system in the country. It's misinformation like that that is fueling the outrage about the change. Finally, while you think we are lowering the potential of education, I think we'll be uplifting the potential of a much more diverse cross-section of the FCPS student body, both based on race and SES.
