I have a 20 month old and 4 month old. The second was very much wanted but unplanned. Except for covid it has been wonderful. No jealousy from the older sibling because she literally doesn't remember life before. I love going through two back to back because once we're done with a stage-like diapers- were DONE. Listen I am in the thick of it now, basically two babies, and am still recommending it. Go for it!

OP here. We got pregnant without trying. We were not sure we wanted kids. We mostly did but there was some hesitation. We decided to take six months to decide. I found a month later I was pregnant. We love being parents and really want a second child. I think that still doesn’t mean anything though since some women have secondary infertility, etc.

I gave birth to my first just past my 38th birthday. We wanted two and due to age, and with my OB’s blessing, we started trying 6 months pp. It took 7 cycles and 1 miscarriage before I gave birth to my second just before I turned 40.

For us, we knew we wanted a second baby and that time was not on our side. At that age, you just don’t know what your fertility will be so we wanted to get trying as soon as possible. Having the babies so close together (20 months) isn’t easy, but it was so cute and so worth it. They are now 7 and 5.5.
