For the "prefect rule following" folks: wearing mask during sport is not recommended by any creditable institutes.

So far, just the Soccerplex, who I think is loosely interpreting the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations. And the only reason they have made this change is because for the NCSL & EDP games, no one will come to Montgomery County because they don't want to wear a mask. Which means not only no "home" games for Montgomery County teams, but, it also means no one using the Soccerplex fields. That means they're not making the boatload of money they make off renting those fields. No tournaments allowed in Montgomery County either, another loss of revenue for the Soccerplex.
My kids (one in HS, 2 in MS) have been playing with masks in Montgomery County, and have been fine. Has not interfered at all.

So your empirical sample of 15 girls in MoCo playing soccer for a few weeks has value compared to the recommendations of the CDC, WHO, and AAP. Sure ... keep telling yourself that. Nobody is saying kids are gonna drop like flies wearing masks. But there seems to be enough there that so many experts do not recommend it for vigorous activities.
No one dies driving 65/70 MPH either but the speed limit is 55.
It’s very easy. If you don’t want to wear a mask, then don’t play.
Don’t be a Rebel without a Cause. Not that hard for you to move your DC to VA to play if you’re so against masks. No one is forcing you to play in MoCo.

Child abuse? Hilarious. My dd has been playing in a mask for a month and has been completely fine. It’s not a big deal unless you make it a big deal.
Is hypoxia deal enough for you?
