How much would that type of addition cost?

What do you mean, blend in well? It is on a wooded lot on a street with other houses in the same style, how blended do you want it to be?

I think the PP meant that they wondered what materials would be best if you wanted to add on.

I love that street and how it lead right to sligo creek trail.

Some houses look like they might be at risk for wet basements with the sloped back yards but I jogged past this one today and it didn't seem that way.

Given prices lately, I'd assume it will go way over asking.

We live in the neighborhood and really enjoy living here. This is one of three stone houses (#3, #5, #7 Hilltop) built in the early 1930s. Each is beautiful in its own way.

Love the exposed beams, the porch, and the garage conversion. It’s hard to tell what the lay out looks like up stairs, though. Not a fan of the basement. I definitely wouldn’t want to hang out down there. Kitchen needs updating but isn’t bad. It’s definitely a nice for the price, though.

How much ovwr will it go for? I am disheartened by how many houses are going for 15% more .... which can be 100k!

It is adorable! Too small for my family, but for that price a great house. Not a sock puppet.

I sent this to DH and he is ready to move in tomorrow. Alas, we own a house in DC and our kids are happily settled in schools. Maybe it’ll come back on the market in, oh, eight years?

Wow. I love it. We looked in SPH for a while but the "right" house never came up and we ended up in North Takoma instead.

Love that house though, and agree that the neighborhood is really wonderful.
