I've been in conversations with other parents in the neighborhood and we are all planning to put a few pieces of candy in a goody bag type situation, put a table at the end of our driveways, and spread out the bags so no one has to rifle through a bowl to find what they want or touch other bags to get theirs. Some people plan to sit in their driveway and wave to the kids, others will just put out the table and stay inside, only coming out to restock.
Halloween is the perfect holiday for social distancing. You're outside. At least in our neighborhood with wide streets, you don't have to come within six feet of anyone. Kids can wear their costume with masks. The kids have missed out on enough. This is an outdoor activity so let the kids be kids!

Your anxiety is far more damaging to your child than the off chance they get Covid from a candy wrapper.
It’s not the candy wrapper, it’s the close proximity to other people. And you’re wrong about my child and my family. My child has severe asthma and I’m in the middle of chemo. I don’t have anxiety, assh*le, I have cancer.
^^ You're the exception, not the norm.
