I was widowed at 29 and fell in love again at 31.

30 is a baby. What kind of question is this?

I got married at 31 just 6 weeks from my 32 birthday. I was not in love. Not really. The social pressure to marry got to me.

I'm divorced in my early 40s. Don't rush it. Marriage is the worst way to live it if is not the right person.

You are very young and still have time.

That's all wonderful but many women have fertility issues starting late 30s.

I honestly have no idea why getting married in the 20s is still idealized with all we know now, from divorce rates to prefrontal cortex development to social shifts etc. 30s are a definitely the better time for marriage.

You're not damaged goods. Couple of girlfriends did the whole single girl in NYC routine, sucked for them. Then they were transferred to places like Indianapolis or Columbus, OH, found guys who were marriage minded, and lived happily ever after all past 30.

Seems pretty normal around here. I met DH the week I turned 30. He was 36.

Married at 31, baby at 32. Find people with like minded interests, get involved in groups or activities where you are meeting more people. You may not find someone in the group but friends of friends is how we connected. Don't give up hope, expand your network.

I met the love of my life when 51 and DW was 24. Married for 9 years and she is the love of my life.

NP and I don't think it's stupid at all. I married at almost 33; DH 30.

OP, before you lose hope, I recommend you search your past for old friends and aquaintences. My DH was an old boyfriend's roommate; we all went to grad school together.

I think once out of school, it can be hard to meet people. But if it's someone you've already known, the courtship can go pretty fast.
