I think we have all done that.

Yes, I've done that too.

Also having kids with the wrong person (who can't be counted on to do the right thing).

Accumulating too much debt and lying about it.

Saw a major, inter generational wealth producing event and only took advantage of about .05% of the upside. If I had swung for the fences, there probably would have been hundreds of millions, if not billions in my pocket now.

Not believing I was worthy of respect and kindness. I went through a lot of suffering trying to force myself to accept behavior from other people that I never should have accepted. I'm not sure what was worse -- being treated poorly or the constant argument in my head between the part of me that was angry and the part that thought it was the best I could expect.

You have value. Never let anyone convince you otherwise.

Biggest regret is not going to college out of high school - family could not afford it, I was pretty sheltered. I didn't have knowledge or confidence to try. Eventually did complete the night school endurance test and earned my bachelors. My life is good, but I wish I'd had the college experience

Living in a Rust Belt city that I hate more everyday because the opportunities are mediocre. Wife is from here and thought moving to this area would help the marriage. That was beyond stupid but I had massive insecurities so there you go.

My first husband was a mistake. I almost ran an airplane out of gas once.

Years later my credit score is great (I worked so hard, it was in the 500s when I left my ex) but although I desperately want to try to buy my own new home now, I doubt I will ever qualify for a new mortgage since my name is still on the old loan/house, though he pays. It's heartbreaking and I feel like I will pay for this mistake for the rest of my life.

Wait, what? He needs to refi and buy you out.

I know it's fixable in theory, but he won't, and I've been told that there's nothing I can do to force him. He isn't going to lift a finger to do anything that would help me in any way.
