Of course she’s going to have another job.
This whole post reads entitlement
... and stupidity. Did OP really think the nanny was only going to work 2 days a week?
Yes. I’m sure this is the same poster who asks how nannies live alone.
Umm duh you pay a living wage. If you want part time fine! But expect that other jobs will be needed.
I’m so happy that my employers pay me extremely well, I don’t have to deal with this crap
No it's not, because I was the OP of that thread, but not this thread.
When I started that thread it was basically to ask parents wth they are thinking when they expect nannies to live alone, not take public transportation, not have a second job etc. when the parents only want to hire them part time and at a low wage.
This post is definitely along the same lines - I want a part time nanny but don’t want them going places/having other employment. I was to not pay legally or pay less and expect my nanny to live alone
The entitlement of parents is ridiculous.
Nanny is and always will be — if you can’t afford it sent your crotch goblins to daycare. Just because you spawned a child doesn’t mean everyone owes you the moon. Parents you are not special. Stop trying to keep up with the Jones when you clearly can’t afford canned tuna

I am not at all asking her not to work at the gym. I am wondering I should stop having her come to my home due to the added risk.

How does 40 mean anything. My old job we had a rule for jobs where folks was on call or prohibited second jobs or we made off hours requirements. We made salary min wage at 168 hours a week. 16 hours OT at min wage every day. They only worked 40 but we could control what they did the other 128 hours

Anonymous wrote:Wow I'm s nanny and this discussion is freaking me out. I am very concerned about the safety of my "kids" but I can also understand why this might happen. I would never want to be in a position where I would lie to my employer but I what would do if I needed the money. Small families cannot afford to pay for childcare they are not receiving. Oy.
