Not spotting but blood on the toilet tissue. Is this normal for irritation from the cervix exam to last this long? I contacted my OB about it on Friday but haven’t heard from her.

I would contact your OB 24 hour line. Red blood should be checked out, especially in the 3rd trimester. Better to err on the safe side.

Same with me. Initially they waved it off, but it happened a few days later. Luckily they took it serious then, because I ended up delivering at 26 weeks.

OP here. Yikes this is scary. Did they check how long your cervix was/whether it was closed? Mine is at 3.6 which they said was very good and normal for 28 weeks.

Yes. Mine was long and closed the first time. A few days later, I bled again and it was slightly shorter but still measured long. I didn’t deliver until two weeks after the first bleeding episode. I think my situation is unusual and nobody could ever figure out the cause, and it’s just a reminder to take any 3rd trimester bleeding seriously and proceed cautiously. I’m just glad I had one OB who took it seriously, while a ton just waved it off because the ultrasound looked normal.
