She should just do her best.
She will be fine if you don’t share the extreme perspective of some DCUMers.

I think it’s a good idea for them to take the highest level of math that they are ready for and likely to do well in. Not all kids need or should take calculus. They literally will not take or use calc in college.
None of my “humanities”-focused kids took calculus and all got into their top choice colleges. It’s just not necessary unless you’re planning on a major which requires it.
I do think there’s a difference between Alg 2 (jr) and precalc (Sr) vs precalc (jr) and Ap stat (sr). The latter probably has a better shot than the former.
