Thank you for all the helpful input. It is impressive to see so many strong teams in the area. It looks like whatever city we settle on, DD will have a couple of options with a few others that are fruther away but managable.

4. Arlington - small roster
HUGE DROP OFF
5. Loudoun -average roster size
6. BRYC - average roster
DROP OFF


7. Metro United-lost 9 players from U16 team last year including one to FCV the “best” U16 team in the area.

Arlington Coach - Girls love her and have a deep respect for her. Strong role model. She is tough as nails but cares deeply for those girls. This is her 3rd year with the them. She is loud and tells them like it is - she is very transparent and the girls appreciate that.
She runs the GA program at Arlington.

Your DD is U16, we have no idea what kind of player she is, nor what level of ability/fitness/etc. Definitely going to stop taking you seriously. Take care.

You may also want to check into training frequency. the GAL clubs have retained the 4 days a week vs. the ECNL clubs 3 day a week schedule. If your DD wants more training, I would take that into consideration. Also, both leagues allow HS play, but MD and some VA private schools play soccer in the Fall, while VA Plays soccer in the Spring. Some of the clubs lighten up the training during the HS season, so that may work for or against you.
