In pre-covid times I would also consider how many recitals were included (or are they extra, or not done at all).

An increase of 25% over what? The old in-person price? Our in-home lessons (different instrument) went down in price when we switched to remote, because the instructor no longer had to figure in gas and travel time each week.

We pay $90/hr for a highly experienced concert violinist with a graduate degree from a reputable college of music.

$45/30 mins seem to be fair in DC, if your instructor has a degree on music or music education.
