+1 For every man who is rude to an attractive woman there are likely ten women who are rude to an attractive woman.
What does this have to do with OP's question?
The question was about men being flustered and rude to attractive women. Many women are rude to attractive women.
Correct. So nothing then?
No, women are rude to attractive women more than men.

I wonder if there's some resentment at play with some (dysfunctional) men wherein they get angry at a woman they perceive would have rejected them, and thus decide to act uncivilly towards her.
Anyone have any experiences with this?
i don't know about this. I think men are generally really sweet and sometimes flustered around beautiful women, but not rude like this. fwiw, and i know no one on DCUm believes anything like this, I think i may have been beautiful in my twenties (told by several men that i was the most beautiful women they have ever seen, scouted by a modeling agent on the street) and men have always been really nice to me. maybe there is some teasing behavior? but not rudeness.
WHere did you live? IME this can vary from region to region
spent my twenties in NC and DC.

I've had this happen. It just perplexed me and I want nothing else to do with them. They seemed puzzled I didn't want any more to do with them.
When it happens I usually just give them a confused look, 5 full seconds of silence, then an "oh kaaaaay..." and walk away. It's fun when everyone sees their failed attempt!
I am mean but I like to cut to the chase and ask them if they've ever read The Game or PUA books. The look of shame and self hatred is a real thrill to observe.
