Thinking the same thing. I've got twin two year olds. They're terrorists. I often think about that period of time where Nebraska's safe haven law didn't have an age limit for when you could turn in your kids no questions asked...

If anyone is in the same boat I want to offer some advice. The best thing I did was take several early childhood development courses. This helped me for several reasons. Most importantly, I was able to learn real scientific knowledge into how the child’s brain works. Also, I learned many parenting skills that early childhood educators use to help provide guidance. I am a better mom now that I am educated on my children and their development. I felt embarrassed at first to essentially be taking “parenting” classes a couple years in, haha but it brought so much clarity! I now understand the importance of the seemingly annoying things that kids do and now I am more equipped to react appropriately. With Covid, maybe look online for an online parenting course or just an ECE certificate thing? Not sure what exactly it would be online.

You're not alone. I am a different mom too and I feel it. I cannot seem to do or be who I want to be. 2020 is that type of year.

You give your kids shit for having angry faces? They're not allowed to look angry when they are in fact, angry? I think maybe you need to think about what is REALLY important and how controlling of a person you want to be.
