basically I imply that there is someone local to me that I see daily or weekly and I would have to buy from them first. Then I tell the local people - “oh, sorry my aunt/childhood bestie/someone close to me also sells this and I have to Use them to preserve the relationship”

they've burned through their close friends and have moved on to old friends. They're probably 5 figures in debt with crates of crap they can't sell and they're desperate. They don't want friends, they want customers
