OP here. Yes technically but they will only be two weeks apart from my son turning 2 and the birth. That’s why I put 2 under 2. It’s technically 2 under 3.

you sound like my SIL. She had two kids 1 year and 360 days apart and was like 2 under 2!! No seriously no. I have 2 that are 18 months apart and never used that dumb term. Only people who can say that are people who earn their badge actually dealing with two babies at the same time. It was hard as hell. Good luck with your 2 kids who will be 2 years apart!

So hard I asked my husband to get a vasectomy after my second was born. I'm sorry, 10 months apart is irresponsible. You aren't even cleared to have sex at 4 weeks postpartum.

Mine are 19 months apart. The first 4 years were a blur, but now at 7.5 and 9, they are the best of friends. I know it might not always stay this way, but glad they are close in age.

OP here. We wanted another child and close together. I’m 39. Why would I use birth control when I’m trying to have another child?

I had 2 born 12 months apart. I found it easy, but they were both on a regular schedule/routine, and were very easy, happy babies.

Mine are 15 mos apart. It really wasn't that hard IMO. In some ways it seemed easier than a 3-4 yr gap because we were still in baby phase, #1 still napped 2x a day when #2 was born. I wasn't having to schlep baby along to older child's preschool pick up/drop off, activities, etc. They are not best friends, mainly because they just have very different personalities (plus boy/girl), but they get along fine. I really enjoy the baby/toddler phase to that was certainly part of it. Also, anything you can do to get #1 sleeping well before #2 is key to it going well. My first napped 2x a day, including a 2-3 hr afternoon nap every day plus 12 uninterrupted hours at night. I was definitely very tired the first several months but we worked to get her on the same nap schedule as the older and by about 6 mos I had a solid 2-3 hours every afternoon to myself.

No. But two sets of Irish twins. Closest clocked in at 10 months apart. Don’t ask.

Mine are 18 months apart. I have nothing to compare it to so I don’t know what the relative hardness is but it’s been mostly great having them so close together. They share a room, enjoy the same activities, often swap clothes, etc. just make sure you let the little one have her own friends and identity instead of always making her tag along with her big sister.
