1 frozen banana
2/3 cup navy beans/other white bean
2/3 cup strong coffee
1/3 cup soy milk/whatever kind of milk
2 dates
2 tablespoons almond or hazelnut butter
1/2 cup ice cubes
1/2 tsp vanilla
optional: cacao nibs
Adding beans and nuts/nut butter to smoothies is an easy way to get more protein.
I'm going to try this with ripple milk, half banana, 1 scoop of peanut cut the beans and add organic vanilla protein powder to cut some of the calories.
Thanks this looks delicious!
You're welcomeI have found that the beans and nut butter make a HUGE difference in how full I feel. When I've cut out the beans and/or nut butter, I get hungry again pretty quickly. Instead, I'd cut the dates and use something like Stevia to sweeten it.
