I’m a parent with a child enrolled at the center. Petit Scholars was taking every possible precaution, including those listed before — pick-up/ drop-off outside, absolutely no one bit staff and children inside, parents taking temps of all family members before arrival at the center AND staff raking child temps upon entry, strict hand washing schedules, masks on age three and up, small pods, no mixing of pods, no community meals, deep cleaning daily...
It was inevitable and agree it is a non-story. There will be more centers affected, and if schools were to reopen, there will be cases there as well. We closed for two weeks and reopen Monday.
The entire center, not just the classroom?

The unidentified reporter says those numbers but Dr. Nesbitt and the NBC4 reporting only indicate one person.
So basically sounds like one person got infected from the community and they are having to temporarily shut down to prevent a spread? Sounds like a bunch of media hype...

Do you know how long it was closed for?

Anonymous wrote:This is such a non-story. Of course there will be cases in child care centers. Why wouldn't there be? Multiple centers in DC have had cases. Mine did too. Nobody knows where the child contracted COVID, but since everyone else the child had contact with at the center tested negative, chances are it wasn't at the center.
