My 14 yo isn’t going out at night. There are no parties, etc. Social events are things like meeting up at a park or someone’s house to go for a socially distanced walk, or booking adjacent lanes at the pool to swim. All of those things take an hour or two and are daytime activities.

I agree completely with the first PP. your child was in MS a year ago. Why should they be out late? What would they be doing, covid aside, at that hour that would in any way be productive in their lives. I see kids drinking, smoking pot, sexual activity as the TV in Hs that are potentially more likely in a kids future who roams around without an early curfew and frankly parental connection and involvement. These are the kids who have therapy in their future if they’ll be able to afford it.also Life360 is a must if your child is out roaming around at that age. For safety.

Any 14-year-old wanting to stay out until midnight is on a fast-track to really bad things. 10p.m. at the latest, and with GPS tracking via phone enabled.

You can’t read. If a party starts at 7 and you make your kid leave at 8, well, your kid is going to hate you and be humiliated.

My child isn't going out socializing. No curfew as there is no reason be out with covid and the only way to stop the spread is to stop socializing.
